Charles Samenow, MD, MPH is trained in general adult psychiatry and has specialized interests in professional health and wellness, sexual addiction (hypersexual disorder), and psychosomatic medicine.  He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general adult psychiatry and sees patients ages 16 and up for mood, anxiety, psychotic, and addictive disorders at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates.

Dr. Samenow’s primary area of research has focused on interventions aimed at addressing professionalism in medical students, physicians and other professionals.  He has presented both nationally and internationally on physician and attorney health issues and has published peer reviewed articles on disruptive physician behaviors and sexual boundary violations.
